Kara Zor-el by AdamMasterman Kara Zor-el by AdamMasterman
I've always liked this character (visually, the writing depends on the writer, but I really liked the Loeb/Turner version), and decided to play with some style ideas on her. Lots of color holds on this one, some pretty high saturation, and a much simpler rendering approach.

edit: Doh! Skirt is blue, not red.

I really like the style of this picture of Supergirl. The hair and face almost make it seem Disney-ish.

Keep the skirt as blue...
Almost makes her slightly different just like the original silverage Supergirl...

Don't feel bad about the blue skirt, it was only red in Superman #123 (Aug'58) and then became blue in Action # 252 (May'59) and stayed that way through most of my youth It became red again when the movie came out. Personally I feel Loeb/Turner is okay, but give me the long run of Action and Adventure Comics (Binder/Mooney) under Julie Schwartz that I grew up with any time

It's like she sees someone coming and thinking, "Uh oh. What'd I do now?"
