Stranger on the Road

In the prologue to Eye of the World, Lews Therin flees from his home and the confrontation with Ishamael, consuming himself in a blast of the One Power that creates Dragonmount and Tar Valon. A few pages later, Rand al Thor turns to find a strange rider on the road through the Westwood. Three thousand years have passed, and this moment marks the first contact in all that time between the Dragon and the Shadow.
